I switched walls in her playroom where these would hang. I've planned on putting up photos of her on the wall these used to be on, but haven't yet.

It's "white day" in Autumn's class so I dressed her in a white shirt, white socks, yellow shorts with white polka dots, and white hair bands. When the teacher got her out of the car this morning she announced, "I HAVE WHITE PANTIES ON!" Love that girl!

Halloween Goings On

I decided Autumn would be a butterfly for Halloween when I saw this costume in a catalog. It was the perfect outfit for her. I figure this is the last year for me to do this as I am sure she'll have her own opinions at a few months before turning 4 years old. I also didn't let her see it until just before she tried it on to go to a Halloween to-do at a bookstore. This made the pictures that follow even better because they were her first reactions to seeing herself this way (she has never really played dress up at this point).

Autumn and I drove up to see Gram and Grandpa the weekend of Halloween.  We drove back early on Sunday afternoon so we could carve pumpkins and Trick or Treat.

She was so sweet because she wanted to give the trick or treaters at our door some of her candy.

Pumpkin Patch

We went back to the same church pumpkin patch we've been to for the past two years.  We decided to skip the big pumpkin patch farm outing because last year's visit wasn't that fun.  She had a great time at this one though.

Cy Fair Fire Fest

This year's Fire Fest was much different from last year's. She was sort of a grump at the beginning. Not really interested in much or wanting to leave Richard's arms. She talked a lot about riding a pony (I was hoping for the llama) so we stood in line. Once it got to her turn, there was nothing doing. I didn't really expect her to, but she was talking like she was going to. It had turned hotter than expected, so I wasn't all that happy either. We spent some time on one side of the fest and then went back to the car to cool off, regroup, and decide if we wanted to go to the second half (where all the fire trucks were) or just go home. She wasn't really happy, and I was hot, but I figured since we were there we might as well just go see the trucks.











So, we traveled down the rode a bit and went to see the fire trucks and the big flag (semi impressed). She saw the life flight helicopter (wasn't impressed), she saw the rescue boat (wasn't impressed). She got a little bag of goodies (wasn't impressed). She was a tough audience that day.









The last thing we visited was the ambulance. As you can see by these pictures she was a tad intrigued. She was quite contemplative about the ambulance and talked about where the person would lay down if they needed help.







Overall I'm glad we went, if only for the comparison to last year's photos. But it wasn't an easy outing. We went to lunch afterward and that wasn't easy either. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Park with Anna

We spent almost 3 hours after school at the park with Anna and her mom. Autumn was very dirty and very sleepy. Should get a good night's sleep tonight!
